(Coaching only; this may be at your office, a coffee shop, or even outdoors. A fee for my travel time will apply.)
Fees and Insurance
In addition to your session time, my fee covers time spent in between appointments on various supplemental tasks such as: phone calls, research for other resources you may need, reviewing your progress, preparing needed paperwork, and most importantly, considering how to best help you. I accept checks or cash, internet-based bank direct pay transfers, and credit cards with a convenience fee.
I am an Out-of-Network provider for all insurance plans. If you have a PPO plan, I will bill your insurance company on your behalf to reduce your administrative overhead. Please email me for an insurance benefits worksheet to clarify your plan’s fee reimbursements. Mental health coverage varies by plan. Please be aware your insurance company will require several weeks to process your receipts for reimbursement.
Please call me to discuss fees, service packages, and flexible payment options.
There is a 48-hour cancellation window for all appointments. Please cancel or reschedule your appointment 48-hours in advance as you will be responsible for the full appointment fee.
What to Expect
Initial Phone Consultation
We will talk on the phone for 20 minutes to help you figure out if I am the right professional to best meet your needs at this time. If I think there is someone better suited to help you, I will refer you to another qualified and respected professional.
Before the First Appointment
Once an appointment has been scheduled, I will email a confirmation along with necessary forms for you to complete online before your first appointment. The registration covers information I need to allow us to successfully work together; as well as provide you more details about my business practices and policies.
The First Appointment
We typically spend 75 minutes together to review your expectations, discuss your therapy needs, and most importantly allow time for us to get to know each other and create a working relationship. We will review your current health and resilience levels, as well as relevant past therapy experiences, in order to create an appropriate and useful plan. If you need additional time, you may extend your first appointment up to 120 minutes for a prorated fee based upon availability. Some clients value an extended first meeting because they have waited a long time to face their concerns, and are finally ready to unburden themselves and receive the support they need. If relevant, I use my professional perspective to help you make this decision based upon your energy, focus, and well-being in the meeting. We only work at a pace that promotes your sense of safety and stability to support your change process.
Follow Up Appointments
If we decide to work together, it is important for you to commit to about 3 weekly appointments to set the foundation of your work. We will choose a consistent time each week to facilitate safety and build trust. Appointments are typically 50-60 minutes, but can be extended based on your needs, at a prorated fee depending on availability. Eventually when you are feeling better, appointments may be scheduled every 2-3 weeks or even once a month.
